Conversations with Arden...
I want ChiChi. I wanna go to the barn. I wanna ride. I wanna ride Nutmeg. I wanna ride. Mommy. I wanna ride Nutmeg. I want ChiChi.
Funny, almost identical to some of my conversations with her other mother ;-)Comments:shelli: you want her chichi's? :)Add a comment:

A Medal at 2...
Arden was in her first horse show this weekend, at the ripe old age of 2. It was a last minute entry into the leadline trail course. She placed 4th of 8 and was the youngest by a year. The judges were impressed with her abilities and her age, and simply suggested that she hold onto her reins throughout the course, rather than dropping them at the completion of each obstacle to cheer for herself.
Unforunately it was so last minute there are no pics of the event, BUT stay tuned for some of her time at the barn this weekend. Fun pony rides are over, this weekend she started learning to steer, stop and start the pony on her own. Time to get down to business if we're heading for the Olympics, dontcha think?

A story for Nonno...
At the tomato festival we went to last weekend we walked by an ankle biter of a dog. When Arden saw it she said ...
"Mommy, a catdog!"
Right she was, right she was.Comments:Nonno: Thats my little girl!! The only good dog is a dog sized dog. And the preference passes to another generation of trueAdd a comment:

Arden will be 2 one week from today. That is insane. Where did 2 years go?
She is just in a really hilarious phase these days. The other day I was sitting on Dora's couch...when D got home Arden, per usual, went upstairs while D changed out of her work clothes and then came back down. She walks over and sees me on that couch. "mommy. move. other couch!" -- so I played dumb and she heaves a sigh at me and grabs my hand, "mommy, come, other couch" and walks me over to where she wants me to sit.
Then last night we were playing and I was spinning this little container with a duck on it on the coffee table. Well, I spun it too hard and it went off the table. She comes over to me and takes my face in her hands and says to me "Mommy. Listen. we don't throw the duckies." HA. Well okedoke then, boss.
As evidenced by a number of pictures, she had a blast at the amusement park. This child has no fear when it comes to rides, she went on every ride she was allowed on and had a huge grin the entire time. She also had her eye on the grown-up freefall ride and said to me as we walked by.."Mommy...I want to go on that!" Indeed, our hands are full with her.
