SHOE FETISH
No really, she has one.
There is photographic evidence on this site that she likes to wear her mothers' shoes. However, apparently she also enjoys all other people's shoes. A favorite daycare pasttime is to remove the other children's shoes and to put them on herself.
She brings much laughter to her teachers.
Yesterday morning when we arrived at school, Arden dressed in a fabulously adorable summer outfit, appropriate for the 90 degree weather...she promptly went to her cubby, removed her winter boots, sat down on the floor and proceeded to take off her green shoes in exchange for the winter boots.
Then she got up and ran to her classroom.
Odd. Cute. But odd.Comments:Add a comment:

Well, lots of changes in these parts. I have a new position that is requiring some fancy footwork in terms of where Arden spends her days. And, being that she has incredibly picky parents with high standards....we're not making any quick decisions!! We've been meeting and exploring and we have a couple of top contenders but another that I feel really good about I will swing by on Friday.
We've also just sent in Arden's first college application ;-). There is a wonderful, wonderful school located at one of the local universities, but there is a wait list and to get in children must be 2.9. Another year for us to wait but we're on the waiting list.
We are forever practicing letters and numbers. She's learning the letters of her name and will talk through it if we're writing it for her. She forgets a letter here and there but at 20 months, I suppose we can let it slide ;-).
She LOVES to read, now more than ever. A current favorite is "There's a Monster at the End of this Book." Last night I was reading it and I didn't say "shhhhh" and she stopped me and looked at me, put her finger to her lips and said shhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Everyone's a critic!!
We went to her first dance party..."baby loves disco" this past weekend. Aunt Annette joined us and Arden had a good time. We think it was a bit on the overwhelming side for her, but overall she had fun and was just exhausted by the time the dance ended. I have a few pictures to post from the disco dance party so check out the photo album.
She's been showering us with I love yous and hugs and kisses these days. It's not to say she doesn't have her toddler moments but since Grandma Mary thinks she walks on water, we'll leave her thinking that :-).
Erin
Comments:joy: Hello Ladies. It is so nice to hear of Ardren's advancements in life. She is sure a bright child. You are surely doing something right. Keep up the good work. Enjoy everyminute, it goes by so quickly. Love, JoyGrandma Mary: Yes, it's true! Grandma Mary does think that Arden walks on water! I couldn't have wished for a more wonderful grandaughter!! Not only is she beautiful but her spirit is kind, giving and loving! When Dora and Erin told me they were pregnant, to say that I was thrilled would be an understatement. Since Arden's birth my life has taken on a joy that only other grandparents will understand. Recently, I have had to move to Las Vegas. Leaving Arden, my children and friends was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever had to do. This websight has provided a link to her life that I truely appreciate. Every child is a gift to us all, but Arden isAdd a comment:
