Hello friends,
Doodlebug's mommies are soo sick. I'm just coming out of a 5 day battle with the flu, and Dora's got some version of what I had. Hers seems to be a cold with chest congestion, no fever yet (knock wood). Hopefully all the vitamins will keep it at bay somewhat for her.
I vow to get the digital camera software installed on the new laptop and get some pics up. I've got to post a picture of this child's closet. So many outfits for a 22 week old fetus! Most are from grandma of course.
Baby girl is moving and grooving in D's belly. She's definitely getting bigger and stronger every day.
Hope you are all well. Thanks for visitin'!!

Hi all.... so I'm really starting to show and Doodlebug is getting active. Last weekend she actually managed to keep me up from 12am-4:45am kicking and rolling. See, I'd start to fall asleep and she'd wake me up...she'd calm down, I'd start to doze and BONK....up we'd be.
Erin thinks it is because I discovered regular coke (my favorite every so often treat) makes her active and since I thought it would be cool to share I drank some at night.
She is probably right...but nobody tell her that okay?
So anyhow, lesson learned. Don't put the baby on a sugar high.
Also...someone care to share how one little baby can make me pee this much?! The ultrasound did show she uses my bladder as a headrest...BUT STILL...I just pity the people who have to travel with me :-)
Everyone who has a sec...pray for my Dad okay? He just interviewed for a job that he'd really like to have. He's been out of work for a long time working in his and mom's candy factory, but he really misses an office setting. I'm hoping that a little combined hope will give him just a tiny bit of good luck.

Morning all,
We hit the halfway mark this past Sunday. I can't believe 20 weeks have gone by. Time flies...
We're already getting questions about when we will be registering. I'm actually hoping we get a start on it this weekend. Too many people are already asking what they can buy.
We are getting the Bugaboo-- hurraahh!! Of course we think it will be a gift from the board that I am on, so that will be just lovely. Dora tried it out and liked it :-). Plus our dear friends are getting one and she just didn't think it would be fair for me not to have one too. I mean, these are people that weren't even going to get a stroller in the first place. Too funny. I have good taste, they should all trust me.
Her closet is practically full already, I can't believe how many clothes we have. We've bought almost none of them.
Dora is feeling okay, growing bigger daily. Her appetite has come back full force this week, think the baby is doing a lot of growing in there.
Have a lovely day folks...

The doodlebug is a ....
LADYBUG!!
She was so modest and shy, legs crossed the whole time!!! We had two techs take a look, and they both came to the "it's a girl" conclusion. Absense of male parts, which they said they'd be able to see by now. Didn't see the 3 lines, but we have another u/s in a couple of months so hopefully we'll get verification then.
She's just demure like me. She hated the u/s wand--- does NOT like her space being invaded. Just like me :-D. She's gorgeous and perfectly healthy.
11oz (58th percentile) and everything looked terrific.
YippeE!!

Tomorrow is the big day!!
We both ended up taking the whole day off of work, but will update first thing tomorrow morning with the results. (Our netcard at home is broken)
We just decided that we won't be able to concentrate if we go back to work, so why bother??
So keep your fingers crossed that the baby decides to show us the goods!!!! I think Dora should eat a couple spoonfulls of sugar to get the baby dancing!
Ciao,

So things stick out of me now (tummy) and things leak (use your imagination).... my head always hurts....I've actually gained a few pounds...BUT... the doodle has yet to start dancing hard enough for me to feel it. I've tried everything... nadda.
Other than 3 thumps when we were pissed off about pressure in the plane... this baby seems to like life serene.
All I have to say is my little zen baby is in for quite a shocker when it realizes what family it has landed into :-)
