13 weeks 3 days
Apparently, if you divide the 40 weeks of pregnancy by three you get 13.333333....thereby making today the last day (officially) of the 1st trimester, right? I hear different things about when the second trimester starts, it's so confusing!
At any rate, we have a date for the BIG ultrasound. April 7th!! So, 7 weeks and 1 day until we know what we are having. 7 weeks seems like an extraordinarily long time, if you ask me! But at least as long as the baby isn't shy there shouldn't be a whole lot of question about boy or girl. Yippee :-).
I also scheduled all OB appointments from here on out. The pregnancy sure does seem fast when you just go through the months making appts.
February has flown by, but January was quite possibly the longest month in history. Let's hope March is a little more like February!
Have a lovely day...

12 weeks 5 days.
My how time flies ;-). I've finally started telling people at work. A couple of people knew many moons ago, but I finally told my whole group yesterday when my old boss (retired in Dec.) came back for lunch. That was fun. Word is spreading, as I knew it would, and people appear to be quite excited. Somewhat amusing I have to say.
I'm so looking forward to the long weekend and I know Dora is. She needs to get some sleep. Doodlebug gets very hungry at 3AM, so D wakes up every morning at 3AM. She is exhausted!! It will be interesting to see once the babe is on the outside if 3AM is a popular feedin' time.
Things continue to go well and only a few more weeks until we know what it is. I am hoping we don't have a shy baby. At least in utero I want it to be a flasher, but when it's born I hope it's demure. Like me of course.
Happy weekend!

12 weeks 1 day
We had an OB appointment this morning. We only met with a nurse, I guess that's how they do it there. The next appointment will be with the doctor. She answered some questions and they did bloodwork and all that good stuff. Listened to the babe's heartbeat again. I have to say, we've been so spoiled so far having had 2 ultrasounds. With the ultrasounds we've been able to see the flutter of the heart immediately. When you are just listening for it, you have to be a bit more patient. Sigh. But it was nie and strong, still in the 150s!
So that's a happy valetine's day for us!

11 weeks 1 day
Been awhile since I updated. Things are still moving along fine. At least it seems so...D's pants are officially starting to not fit. I think that's a good sign.
We have an OB appt a week from today, I'm looking forward to that.
I've told a few people at work about the baby (include my boss) and they are all excited. People seem fascinated by the two mommy thing. They just get so oddly excited, in my opinion.
But hey, it's better than the other, huh? :-)
Haven't purchased anything for the babe recently. Definitely just holding off until we know what it is. I did have a dream last night that we found out it was a girl. Of course, that's not very scientific, but people seem to think that dreams can be quite telling.
Tomorrow is the parade for the Pats. Yip. Eee.
The parade starts one street over from my office. I imagine that about 90% of my office will head over to watch it, including the head honcho. I'll be heading to the gym, which should be extra quiet tomorrow. No need to see them roll down the street thanks.
Have a lovely week everyone.
