So the Bug-bug is officially in full out toddler mode.
Nothing organic/inorganic is safe from her all prying fingers and curiosity. Crawling is done at warp speeds only. All stationary items are for pulling up THANK-YOU-VERY-MUCH.
Couple that with the fact that she **thinks** she can walk and we''re in trouble.
And by think I mean fearlessly lets go of solid objects and lands head first on the floor screaming with the indignity of it all...(or at the slow reaction time of her Mama who should have psychically KNOWN she was going to release her hold at that second and try to step off)
She is also a prattling maniac. Mama, Mommy, Grandma, Nonno, Lu-Lu (Lucy), Bye-bye (waving included), HI, No-no-no-no (head shaking included), and an emphatic "A NI NI" which we have no clue as to what she means, but by gum she means something serious.
Arden is also starting to get familiar with places. The other day I was dropping her off at my mom''s, a place she doesn''t stay at all that often and when I opened the car door and pulled her out she looked around and said in a very satisfied voice "Grandma".
What else? She loves to order me around and lately demonstrated the power of the tantrum. (I laugh at her...somehow that is evil I''m sure but really...must we be so DRAMATIC?)
Arden has also become a tattle-tale. The other day she was banging on a window...a NO-NO in an old house with leaded glass windows. I kept capturing her wrist and saying NO BANG and if she did it again removing her from the window. She started to get frustrated. Tossed a tantrum which got her nowhere fast so she stopped, sat up and started yelling "NONNO! NONNO!"
I actually had to call my dad to share...turns out my dad lets her hit the window to her heart''s content at the factory.
When Mama says no, Nonno says yes.
Until Arden pays the repair bills Mama wins.
